Track and manage faulty inventory

Faulty Items Management

Track and manage faulty or damaged inventory items. Report issues, schedule repairs, or write off items that cannot be fixed.

Administrator Access

Full access to manage all faulty items across all branches

Reporting Faulty Items

Navigate to Faulty Items

Go to Inventory > Faulty Items in the sidebar

Click "Report Faulty Item"

Or mark an item as faulty from the inventory item detail page

Select the Item

Choose the inventory item and specify the quantity affected

Describe the Issue

Provide details about what's wrong with the item

Submit Report

The item is marked as faulty and stock levels are adjusted

Resolution Options

Repair

Mark item as repaired and return to inventory

Write Off

Remove item from inventory permanently

Return to Supplier

Send back to supplier for replacement or refund

Faulty Items Summary

The faulty items dashboard shows:

  • Total Faulty Items: Number of items currently marked as faulty
  • Products Affected: Number of different products with issues
  • Locations Affected: How many locations have faulty items
  • Resolution Status: Pending, repaired, written off, or returned

Report faulty items as soon as they're discovered to maintain accurate inventory records and enable timely resolution.

Navigate to Faulty Items

Go to Inventory > Faulty Items in the sidebar

Click "Report Faulty Item"

Or mark an item as faulty from the inventory item detail page
